I`ve also read about how i can use a 90 to 91 civic ex sedan MC on my 95 dx . but would it do anything if i am only upgrading the front and stay drum in the back? say if i am using integra caliper in the front with 11' disk

why would you put on big front disc brakes and then have drum brakes in the rear, thats like having a girl with gigantic beautiful ***** with a flat ugly ***

Hey tahnks again for everyones help. Like i said earlier im getting my swap in soon so hopefully i can get it knocked out soon. I think im just going to get that MC and booster from that guy i know and grab a PV so i can get everything done right the first time. O yea i also need to get some integra brake lines for the back so everything will bolt right up with no binding. So if anyone else has any good setups for a 95 civic rear disc swap like what master cylinder, proportioning valve,booster, etc use then keep the threads flowing. Thanks.

I am still using my stock ex master cylinder with the bigger reservior, because some ------- sold me the wrong master cylinder, it was 7/8 but it was meant for a right handed drive car, so its useless to me. I am still looking for a master cylinder.

Yes installing a larger bore MC will help. Well, it will decrease pedal travel because it moves more fluid with less travel.

I've heard arguments that upgrading the front without the back degreses stopping distance significantly more than leaving the front stock and upgrading from drum to disk in the rear.

Who knows though. Rear disk setups are so cheap and easy to install, might as well get them.

YEah because I just did this swap last week.

You will need the 40/40 prop valve from the integra, and you will need either the integra MC and Booster or go to a local junkyard and find a MC from any civic that came with rear disk brakes, weather its 1989-95 as long as it had rear disk brakes the MC will fit your stock Booster, the integra MC will not fit your stock booster therefore this is the reason you will need the integra Booster if you use the integra MC

I am always ASSUMING the drum brake works better then disk brake, just look at how much bigger the contact area is compare to the tiny disc brake pad, and look at all these big rig that uses drums.
but what do i know

The contact area has nothing to do with it, disk brakes are much stronger than drumb, the piston on a disk type setup has much more force than the shitty little drumb brake cylinder.

plus some cars have bigger pads in the front then they do shoes in the back, in reality a car does 80% of its braking in the front, but drumbs are so ------- ugly, and if youre like me and do hard stopping in reverse disk brakes are a must

The big rigs use disk in the front also, and 4 drumbs in the back and 4 more on the trailer, this is also not your average hydraylic system, the massive air pressure generated has something to do with it.
