Default 90dx's project VX

So i picked up this dirty little VX hatch a few months ago and finally got the little **** turboed It started as a 300+kms D15Z that was slower then *****.I started by redoing the undercarrriage with a full ES bushing kit, cross drilled slotted rotors, stainless lines,Ksport coilovers and all new ball joints, tie rods etc.It then handled much better but still sucked so i then proceeded to rip out the D15 and install a B18B with a GSR tranny and that was a def improvement.Next up i threw out the beat to ---- moldy interior.Last i was time for some boost so it got the following:
Holset HY35W [thanks B18turboef ]
custom sch10 ramhorn
no name 24x12x3 intercooler
44mm OBX intimidator wastegate
50mm OBX blow off valve
custom 2.5" alum charge pipe [my buddy did the tig welding]
3" stainless downpipe
550cc injectors, walbro pump and running Crome

We got it running on sat and headed to the track to test it running a basemap i made rich as ---- and 1' per psi of retard. It ran a 12.9 at 105mph [1.9 60] on 8psi.Im going to install ARP headstuds this weekend and then head down for some tuning on the dyno hopeing for 300whp and low 12's.I have a extra B18 block i will either put some forged rods and pistons in quickly or i might wait and sleeve it over winter.Ripper vids to come i have some footage from the track as well.

Good job.

Its too bad it had to be a vx though. Those are hard to find unmolested now. I am still amazed at the fuel economy they will get. Its better than a golf tdi or a toyota prius which is a hybrid vehicle.

When I ran my VX rims, I wanna say it was a 7mm spacer and it didn't look like it was rollin' on steelies and then nice Yoko Advan rubber. Looks nice but damn why slam that thing so ------- low. Looks kinda ghetto.
