Default Start my turbo build on D16

Hey all, ive been wanting to turbo my car for awhile and am finally getting down to do it.
I just picked up a Schwitzer S2A yesterday for $150, and am now a little nervous i might have gotten ripped off.
The guy also told me it's been recently rebuilt and hasnt been used since the rebuild.
It has no shaft play and looks decent to me.
I will post up some pics, i hear this thing will spool to fast and will run out of boost quick, then i hear i got a good turbo, so i turn to you guys.
Ok, i want to have a quick on (streetwise) but it's my daily driver aswell so i want it as reliable as possible.
Could you guys tell me if this is going to be good for what i'm looking for?
thanks in advance everyone!

its a good turbo for your application. if your looking for low rpm boost then you have a good turbo. if you looking for high end power then this turbo is too small.

Not a problem, i'm just hoping this turbo is good being i drive 300 miles to north florida about once a month, and this is my daily driver.
I am working on getting the money to buy the rest of the kit needed to install this and get it going, i've very excited so i'm going to try to get it done asap.
Will keep you guys posted.

I would just use common sense... If you're nervous about doing a mod to your daily driver, you probably shouldn't do it.

Also, if you're doing this for the first time, you're bound to run into little problems here and there. On a "toy/garage queen" that's fine, but on a daily it can SUCK.

Just some food for thought. As far as the turbo goes, those are pretty reliable turbos. Good (as was already mentioned) for putt-putt cars that want a lil more power.

Do you have a plan for all of the stuff around the turbo?

It's not that i'm nervous to "mod" my daily driver, i was planning on doing this for awhile or going all motor, it's my daily driver but i like modded cars aswell, it's my hobbie as it is yours, it is my only car aswell though.
i'm good with cars (civics that is) from playing around with mine (engine swaps basically), but this is my first boosted setup, and i'm aware i'm bound to run into problems here and there. they way you say "putt-putt" cars, and "lil" more power gets me thinking it's not going to be pushing as much as i'd hoped, but i guess i'll see soon.
I'm going to run 8psi for now on stock internals, until i get bored with it which i know i will then ill be upgrading to something bigger.
I was actually coming on here to see if you guys could help me with some sort of list for oil lines, fittings, and all the misc ---- from home depot or lowes that way i can get a few things to make it a little cheaper instead of buying kits.
I might ask a friend to weld me some piping for the kit aswell, or i might buy the piping kit online, not positive yet on that though i want it to be reliable.
I'm getting some 450CC injectors, walboro fuel pump, p28 chipped ECU, i know there was a few other things i needed but can't really think right now.
if you guys could chime in on that and let me know what i need i will make a COMPLETE list, if you could give me just the mandatory parts i need for now.
I really appreciate the help guys, this is by the far best forum ive been on so far, nobody else even posts back on others.. so thanks guys!
I will def. be keeping you guys posted on the build as i go along with pics and everything.
im SOOO excited honeslty lol its like christmas haha
