i discovered why my head leaks water... LOL

i need the sensor off a Z6 head in good condition thats located just behind the front water neck for the rad

if anyone has one let me know, i need it bad

 

There is a sensor there? I've never owned me one of those V-Tack thingies, but all my non-V-Teck motors had a little purge nipple there.

yup its a sensor, i looked at another Z6 motor that hasnt been ripped apart in my buddys shop and theres a sensor there, i though it was unimportant at the time so plugged it with gasket maker and a bolt... but i'd like to have whats supposed to be there :1

 

Are you sure? The water neck the upper radiator hose connects to, right? The lower should have a sensor, but I've never seen one on the upper.

yup im sure, it sits right behind the water neck next to what i assume is the stock oil pressure sensor or maybe a heat sensor.. i'll take a pic of where im talking about tonight to post up

 

Oil pressure? That's on the back of the block above the oil filter. I'll wait for those pics.....

i think you are talking about the coolant temp sensor. definately wanna use that.

 

lol i have no ------- clue what it is... im bringing a pic up now that you can sort of see it, its my old motor that still has the sensor on it.. its right behind the hose circled in green
