side note.

I heard they're riveted because it's hard to align them so they work properly.

Anyone that has swapped them have any tips? Friend needs a tps replaced.

I had to and it's not near as hard as everyone makes it out to be. It's just a simple potentiometer with standard 3 pins. one is +5V one is GND and one is the wiper (varies from almost 5v to almost gnd depending on tps rotation)

-Dremel slots in rivet heads for shorty screw driver to remove rivets
-Take headless rivets to lowes in hardware section and grab a pack of Socket Head Cap screws of the same size
-Mount new TPS snuggly and grab a multi-meter.
-measure DC Voltage with KOEO from each pin to battery gnd with throttle at 50% you'll get 5v on the power pin, ~2-3 on the wiper, and 0 on the gnd pin. (or grab a manual and it will tell you which pin is which) Label these pins.
-measure DC voltage from wiper pin to gnd pin (at the TPS sensor not battery) with TPS at zero KOEO and adjust until you get .45V.
-Tighten and recheck for movement, done.

takes all of 10min to do properly
