Ok ll i have a td05/14b turbo off a dsm im guessing, and it has the stock wastegate unmodified but for somereason it wont push lower then 10psi!! I know these wastegates arnt suppose to push that much stock i dont think? So does anyone have a stock wastegate that will fit on with no mods to a tdo5 that wont push 10psi!! Maybe 7-8 or so?? THANKS!!

 

Wastegate pressure on DSMs is 10psi, around there at least. When I first got my dsm I was running a 14b on wastegate pressure and it was 12psi. There are tricks you can do to run less boost. Just find a way to make the flapper open a little earlier. Lengthen the actuator arm maybe? ---- with the vacuum to the wastegate actuator? I've never wanted to run less boost, so I'm not too sure on what needs to happen.

 

damn! Ok well does anyone have a wastegate for sale that wont push as much boost but will fit on the td05/14b turbo pretty easily?? Thanks!

Is it possible that you have a 16g turbo or a 16g wastegate, i think those stock settings are 10psi
