WTB: Intercooler piping...2",2.5", silicon, couplers, etc.

I have some ----, and I have no idea how much more I need...I'll update my post as I figure ---- out...but for now I definetly need some 2" couplers, or better yet a long 2" tube of silicon or someshit.

The inlet/outlet of that Saab IC are 60mm (2 3/8 in) so 2.25 silicone will fit if you lube it. Don't go too big on the piping size because that will kill response and introduce lag. If you're not pushing a lot of air through the system, keep it under 2.5 inches.

If you do want to go bigger, I have two 2.5 inch aluminum 90 degree bends sitting around. These should be used for the lower charge pipes, not anything inside the engine bay itself...

I see a lot of guys with pretty aluminum pipes crossing over the engine.... :3

Good Call. I saw in your description that a 2.5 inch coupler would fite good, but 2.25 is even better for me. I want to go 2" to 2.25" from turbo to IC, then 2.25 to 2.5 throttle body. Thanks mike.

You probably want to keep the size of the tubing pretty constant throughout, as you'll reduce pressure loss that way. Having the piping grow in diameter as it approaches the TB will slightly reduce boost pressure.

I'll keep looking for 2.25 and 2.5 inch silicone truck hose, because that makes a HUGE difference in keeping the system cool. I can run the car hard for my hour-long commute and open the hood and put my hand on the silicone throttle-body intake pipe....

If you're looking for some cheap stainless, try looking at used dairy and microbrewery equipment....

You know too much. :)
I keep checking ebay for different things all day, keeping an eye out on a few different forums. I am sure I'll come up with somehting, Need to get my hands on the IC first though and decide how I am going to route things. I think I can do a very short piping set up with the turbo pretty much facing the IC openeings a couple feet away, and then going straight back to the throttle body.
