where can i get my hands on a STD manifold? is there much difference between an HF and STD performance wise? Ive heard the runners are thicker? Ive also heard HF are prone to cracking can anyone enlighten me on any of the above

They are all the same design, yes the STD mani is alittle thicker and has a 3 stamped on a runner. So you can actually do more portwork on the STD than the others, it doesn't really matter because its not enough to make a difference. All 3, HF, STD & CX will work w/ an adapter plate to do what you want. And about the cracking issue, use a flexpipe on the downpipe and it won't be an issue, otherwhise it will effect whichever one you choose. And where to find? Try the For Sale section, local junk yards, and last, eBay. Keep in mind if you go thru eBay then you will pay the highest of all. Most sell for $40-50 with shipping while on eBay they sell for $70-90.

I have several manifolds lying around from when we were selling them ported and gasket matched. Two of them are STD with the embossed "3", several are not. All of them have been sandblasted clean so we could crack check them in preparation for porting/matching.

$60 plus shipping ($7-9 Fedex Ground US) will get your pick.
