hmm i have barely used forged srp pistons with brand new je proseal rings. Pistons are 10:1 b16 pistons but fit the b18a/b fine and yield about a 9.4:1 compression ratio. Also have arp rod bolts, clevite 77 rod bearings, mr.gasket stock 3 layer head gasket, and a goodyear gatorback timing belt. But another guy has first claim to the pistons and rings, just waiting to hear back from him within the next couple days. (want $250 for the pistons and rings -- rings alone were $80, and I bought the pistons used for 220)

i don't have rods, just the pistons, rings, rodbolts, rodbearings, timingbelt, headgasket. I'll give you package price once I find out whether the other guy is going to buy the pistons n rings

Might wanna recheck that...not trying to kill your deal or anything, but those b16 pistons in a b18a1 or b1 block will raise compression, not lower it. Example...I'm building an ls/vtec using my b16 stock pistons. Granted the head accounts for almost an extra point, but I will be very close to the 12:1 mark in my b18 block.

so which pistons are the best for my block???

IMO you should stick with a piston designed for that block. Most b-series pistons are interchangable, but unfortunately most of them will raise your compression, not lower it, in a b18a1. I'd go for a slightly lower than stock c/r, say like a 9:1 forged piston.

Thats what i thought, but i checked the specs from srp on the pistons and compared them to stock and used a compression calculator, and I thought it came out between 9.4 and 9.5:1. Someone else should probably check it to be sure i suppose though
