IHI RHB5 in ANY condition!
 

Hey guys, I'm looking for an IHI RHB5 turbo from a 88 t-bird (preferable auto, dunno if it matters) in any condition, as long as the exhaust housing has no cracks anywhere. All I plan on using is the exhaust housing, so if that's all you have, I'll take it. But, if desired, I'll buy the whole turbo. Prefer one in bad condition/low price :).

I have a rhb5 off a ford prob, little smaller than what you want, but if you want it i have one.

Sorry. I can't use it. I need the one off of a t-bird 'cuz it's a 4 bolt flange setup (similar to t-3) and I'm sure the probe ihi turbo is 3 bolt, so it's a little different housing. Thanks anyways though. Well, if you find a ihi from a t-bird, you know where to send it. thnx.

i have one off a t-bird..yep its a four bolt..but is welded onto a stock hf manifold :P from the first guy i bought it from..i havent used it yet..still good..no bent fins or shaft play..

Hmm. . .. nah. That's okay. Damn, would have got it if it hadn't been welded. Already got the manifold I wanted. thnx.

as long as we are on the subject of RHB5 turbos, anyone know if i can go to the hardware store to get some new seals or something that will work for some sort of a rebuild?? im finding oil outside my fins and up in my IC piping, anyone know? thanks! or if you have some good seals or something for sale thatd be kick ass.....sorry to post within your post ;)

I have a complete good rhb5 out of a probe but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it for my accord yet I might trade for a larger turbo.

jesus man, dont you read. he said that he needs a TBIRD turbo, different bolt pattern.

read it all before just reading the topic title.

nah, sorry man. I messaged you, but I guess you didn't get it. I can't use it :( I would have totally bought it but I called around to like 7 different turbo repair/rebuild shops and the answer was the same with all of them. . . I can't use it unless it comes from a t-bird. they actually said that the turbine housing had to be an 88 t-bird automatic turbo, not manual 'cuz I guess it has different trim or something. Dunno. . . ---- sucks. But thanks anyways dude.

hey i got a RHB5 turbo for sale. it has a 4 bolt flange. its in good condition. no shaftplay and spins freely. i've got pics too. lmk if you still looking for one.

Hey, if you didn't get my message, then yea, I'm still looking. It has to be a turbo from an 88 thunderbird though. If that's what you have, send me some pics and let me know how much you want for it. Maybe we can work something out. thnx.
