I HAVE A 97 CIVIC WITH A D16Y7 FRESH REBUILT MOTOR AND TRANS WITH 1000 MILES ON IT. I AM WANTING TO TURBO THE STOCK MOTOR. I DONT WANT TO SPEND NO MORE THAN 700 DOLLARS TO DO THIS. WHAT ALL WILL I NEED TO TURBO THE CAR AND HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I PUSH ON A STOCK MOTOR. ALSO IS MY STOCK MOTOR GOING TO BE SAFE? IVE BUILT HONDAS BEFORE BUT THIS IS MY FIRST ONE BUILDING WITH A TURBO. HOPE YOU CAN HELP

 

if you have a good set up you can run 6 to 8 pounds safely, but it will be hard to do for 700

 

You can safely run 10psi on a stock y7 i did for close to a year before i rebuilt mine for more boost.It should be to hard to do a kit for 700 bucks i have a few things laying around to do it pm or txt me at 716 353-6209 and we can work out a deal
