i need an adapter for either a dohc zc or an 88-89 integra dohc d16a1 head to mate to either an 88-91 sohc crx/civic or a 92+ civic sohc intake manifold. i want to put this adapter on my head so that i have a bigger selection of intake manifolds to put onto my 89 integra motor. if its the 92+ adapter, then i can also use newer and bigger throttlebodies.

someone let me know if you can make it...also, i need to know if this is even possible.

Never even heard of this. Just redrill your manifold. get a sohc intake mani gasket and mark where the holes are and redrill it. and adapter would set your injectors further back from the head also and might mess things up there. just redrill it and call it a day.

 

ill have to doulbe check, but i think they are to far off to re-drill.

 

If you really want to do something is weld on the dohc zc flange onto the sohc manifold oif your choice. The dohc zc manifold is by far the best oem Manifold for d series large plenum and fat runners. I did the opposite years ago and installed a dohc zc manifold onto a sohc all motor build lots of work and it was cheap I dont tig weld was it worth it not really but it was different

 

i basically just want aftermarket support. im looking for an intake manifold with a big plenum, and short runners. no one makes any for a dohc zc, and there are a ton of options for a sohc zc. i guess ill chck out the b series flange as well. the pattern seems pretty close to the dohc zc...maybe it'll be easier.

 

DOHC ZC = no support.

Run NA or Boost it.........

 

trust me, its boosted, and its fast.. i just want to make it faster.

 

Just stick with the stock manifold otherwise I know Beau had a custom DOHCZC manifold for sale. PM him and ask him cause i don't think it was that much at all. Screen name is Blacksi.
