Y7 and Y8 motors with ARPs and extras...PICS!!!LOWEST PRICE!!!

Short Story:

My Y8 spun like every bearing on the bottom end and got this Y7, did a mini-me with my head and it smoked white really bad (anitfreeze). I'm thinking the block is warped, because I KNOW my head is straight and I checked the tops of the sleeves for cracks and they look mint. So I'm selling all of it...

So what do you get:

Y7 block
-New Oil Pump
-New Main Gasket
-New P28 Z6 Rod/Pistons
-ARP head studs
- *thinking the block is warped over #3 cylinder and needs decked*

Y7 head
-Non-Vtec but man it's minty fresh and clean
-*Warped .005"-006"*
- Valve Cover included

Y8 block
-Spun all bottom end so Crank is probably good for beating people that's about it
-Bad Rods from spinage
-Oil pump is shot and reason why my motor died
-Oil Pick-up is clogged with my rod bearing from #2

-Good block
-Good pistons
-Tapped Oil Pan
-ARP head studs

Y8 head
-Perfect head
-Valve Cover

EXTRAS
-99-00 Engine Harness
-99-00 Y8 COMPLETE intake manifold
-99-00 Dizzy
-2 Sets ARP head studs for both blocks

Price: $300

SouthWest, PA

If you need pictures sure I can get it, but who hasn't see a D-series motor before? ::)

Like to sell all of it as a package deal, but I'm willing to part. Price change too...come get it, these are very useable parts, I'm out of the game and have no need/time for this stuff. :-\

What PART of the Y8...? Not being a tool here, just name what you want and we'll work it.

Okay, sounds like no one wants EVERYTHING, but rather someone wants a bare block, someone wants a fresh stock block, someone wants a VTEC head, etc. You give me an offer on what you want and we'll work it, deal? Cool...

Oh yea, this stuff is pick up fo-sheezy. You want to meet/deliver you have to pay extra, sorry guys.

$60 to your doorstep, but I don't have enough poly lubercant that they suggest using so ask what else you could use maybe? I'm not sure, but with two sets and the little I have left I can't give to both and was really saving it use for a motor that got the ARPs...

EDIT: You were in for the charge piping and all as well too, huh? You buy that stuff I'll throw in ARPs for $20 with the lube.

You have a known straight edge and some feeler guages? If the y7 head isn't warped I might be interested.

Listen to this....I checked the Y7 block that is supposedly warped with a square and I was like "man, I should SEE a difference..." and I couldn't even see where a feeler gauge would come in handy. I figured being aluminum they both would 'draw' some and therefore warped anything I should physically SEE without professional help/equipment or even feeler gauges.

HOWEVER, my Father said that just running a square across it won't tell you anything, but being aluminum anything SMALLER than that seen/felt SHOULD draw in my mind...right?

Tell ya what, right NOW I'm going to go check that head for you and see if I can slip anything (feeler gauges) in above the ports (exhaust and intake) and let you know if I can get any thing.

Haha, neglect what I said about SEEING a difference. :1 Dad went down with me and check it with feeler gauges and a square and the head IS warped in the middle by .005"-.006". So yes, it's slightly warped.

Price change!!! Come on guys, these are GOOD parts that I have no use for. I'm not building motors or anything anymore so this stuff willl just sit and it's all very ususable! The deal is looking like warpage was the culprit and if you get that shaved you should be money! I don't like selling all this stuff this cheap....

Bump, because I think tomorrow I'm going to see how much it is to shave this block and just make it a complete running mini-me then sell it.

No. Think one is a Z6 set because I guess Z6 needs one stud shorter by the dizzy or VTEC solenoid or something? ??? I'm keeping the Y7/Y8 set.

Okay, Last bump. Cheap, cheap, cheap for all this stuff that can easily be used to build be able to build two long blocks. I just don't want to mess with this stuff and I go back to class Monday and won't touch it. Buy it.

Can you confirm that the other set is for a z6? I'm very interested if you are.

I bought one set for a Y block. The other set was in a Y7 I bought from a freind and they had ARPs in it. I noticed one stud being shorter than the rest when taking them out, but thought nothing of it as it did its job. I recently read Z6 ARPs have one shorter stud for the VTEC solenoid or something like that, I don't know. I can try to ask my freind if he knows what studs they are or measure the one or something. I don't know what else you want me to do...If there's something else I can do to clarify their application by all means tell me.

P.S. ARPs come with that 'special' poly lube for torquing them down with and I DO have some left, but it doesn't appear these motors are selling and was keeping it for when I put the other set back in. You can use other lube, but I believe torque specs are different. I'll send you the instructions if need be...

Motor oil can also be used, just has to be torqued higher to account for friction.

I almost used you as a reference because for some reason a while back I thought I remember you doing this or having knowledge on this at least.

Thanks Jon.

They're normally torqued to about 62 ft/lbs I believe so account for that I suppose.
