WTT Tyrus Intercooler
 

I got a Custom made intercooler from Tyrus that I want to trade for something smaller + maybe a little cash, or even a DSM Side Mount Intercooler. I just feel that I am losing a little to much boost using that huge Intercooler . . . if anyone is interested in trading please let me know.

you have a tyrus, they kick serious ass, jeff has one on his 12 second (soon to be low 11 second) crx. thats enough proof for me. your serioudly stupid if u get rid of that intercooler

Hey dip ---- . . . ---- you. I thought of that already, but the cooler barely fits since my bumper is a little to small for it. I also trimmed pretty much everything I can. I might be a noob to this board, but I got the balls to tell you ---- you . . . try speaking positive about ---- or shut the ---- up.

Second ---- all you want . . still doesn't mean nothing. Obviously I own the intercooler so I can do whatever with it. I never said that I was going to give up my tyrus intercooler to make a straight trade for a Side Mount intercooler or whatever, go flame some place else. I'm sure you gota have something better to do then to sit BEHIND a computer and talk ----. As for the 14b it was recently rebuilt and came with a mani ---- face.

man i'll say it like this . . . . it's like me saying that they are one of the dumbest mother fuckers alive because they felt that they needed a smaller intercooler or didn't like something that they had and were going to sell it. If I am correct I believe that I paid the $$ for it so why would someone even be so stupid as to say ------- noob your a ------- idiot if you et rid of it. Seems like there are ------- dick heads on this board just like Honda-Tech . . . there's always ---- faces who believe in talking ---- BEHIND a ------- computer. When I last checked I don't believe it was a crime to sell an intercooler, and I don't remember it being a crime to down size to something a little smaller either.

Well genx, i still have that starion fmic if you want to trade. Its a bit smaller than the tyrus but it will be just what you're looking for. Let me know...

Your right you paid for it so you can do whatever you want with it. I think the point everybody is trying to make is the tyrus intercooler is a lot better than a DSM side mount or starion intercooler. The only thing down sizing will do for you is make it easier to fit in your car.

Here's the article on Jeff's tyrus intercooler install. Jeff said he had an improvememnt in performance when he switched from the starion to the tyrus. I think if he can fit that IC in his rex you should be able to fit in in your car too. Just trying to help you out, but again you can do whatever you want.

I know that you're just trying to give me some words of wisdom, but I just don't appreciate the way that you went about it. I just was a bit furstrated because I guess I was expecting to boost a little more. It turns out that I ran into an old friend tonight and he is going to let me borrow his Turbo XS Manual Boost controller and if I like it I can have it for $25. I am not saying that the Tyrus intercooler is bad, my friend just told me that I would have a bigger pressure drop then he would since he has a DSM Side Mount IC. It's a great cooler but I just thought it might be a bit big for my application and for the amount of boost I will be running for a little while.
