Water Injected 97 Del Sol S w/ SOHC VTEC

I am really just curious as to what people would offer for my car, I am interested in selling it (the insurance is becoming a nightmare since I moved off my parent's plan).

It's a 1997 Del Sol S, painted Vogue Silver

It's running a water injected SOHC VTEC turbocharged 1.6L engine (D16Z6 head, D16Y8 block, D16Y8 timing gear, D16Z6 belt, D16Y8 intake manifold)

Ported and Polished Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
TD04-1GH Turbocharger w/ internal wastegate
Polished Compressor Adapter
Polished Downpipe Adapter
Greddy Log-Style Exhaust Manifold
Greddy 2.25" Downpipe
Catco Hi-Flow 2.5" Catalytic Converter
3" Exhaust w/ glass pack muffler (no exhaust tip or fart can)
Greddy Type-S BOV
Autometer A/F Gauge
Autometer Boost Gauge
Apexi Gen2. S-AFC
DSM 450cc blue top injectors (all tested for flow)
Completely re-wired fuel injector harness
Completely re-wired OBD1 distributor harness
Completely re-wired OBD1 VTEC harness
OBD2-OBD1 Conversion Harness
OBD1 P28 ECU (NOT CHIPPED)
Home Made Water Injection Kit using a Saab intercooler as a reservoir
16" Kenwood Tornado with carpeted box in the trunk (speaker has a 4 year service warranty through best buy)
No name brand 400w amplifier
16" Enkei CDR9 Wheels wrapped with Toyo Proxy Fz4's
Neuspeed Adjustable Coilovers (lowered 1/2")
Skunk2 Racing Upper Control Arms (Replaced for alignment)
Resealed Piston Rings (hasn't been honed, internals rebuilt)
D16Y7 Transmission (S21?) w/ new clutch, and a resurfaced d16y8 flywheel

The engine block is fully rebuilt (but was not honed or resleeved), the pistons/rods/bearings were balanced and placed in with a buddies help to all OEM specs. The head came with approximately 35,000 miles off of a 95 civic ex. It's also one of the rare VTEC Honda SOHC Valve covers.

The car pulls hard passed 4,500 RPM. Mostly because of the retarded timing prior to that point. My next upgrade was to purchase a programmable Fuel system, so that the lower RPM could be advanced while retarding the high end to gain power from all spots of the power band.

I'm damn positive this car in proper altitude could pull a high 13 with its current tuned setup. In Colorado, I plan to run a low 14, but our higher elevation makes a huge difference in ETAs. I haven't been able to dyno yet, but my guess is with 10 psi it would be around 240sh wheel horsepower (of course properly tuned). I'm using a 450cc blue top DSM injectors, and an AFC for tuning, with a partially retarded distributor. This is currently non-intercooled (thought I do have one to hook up). The water injection seems to keep it cool enough to avoid detonation.

If you're interested shoot me an email:chackoperformance@attbi.com, I'll be happy to provide photos, answer questions and negotiate a price.<br>
Oh yes, the total mileage on the car is about to hit 100,000. But this motor only has around 3,000 miles and the transmission has about 4,500.
The body is in decent shape, there are scratches, and the car was hit before I purchased it (the front radiator support needs to be bent) and it wouldn't hurt to get it repainted. Then it would look its best, and have the balls under the hood!

There is absolutely no ricey crap on this car, no stickers, no altezza crap, no wing...

I'll Paypal you $500 right now. ;) Let me know if yoru interested. ;D

J/K. I'm not sure what that would be worth. Just plan on taking a huge loss on all of the aftermarket stuff you have on it. You might be better off taking everything off and selling it seperatley. A stock car would be more apealing than a highly modified car. :(

I may have to take it back to factory, sell all the turbo ----... and try trading it in towards a new car.

Sorry to say this, but between boost and insurance, I just can't afford to keep this hobby going.

Well based on the body conditions, and the reliability of the turbo honda... I'd say $9,000 right now.
I'm going to try and bullshit my way into the F&F2 market with it :)
