I know I made a thread not long ago but I didn't get much of a response (probably because of the title) and I've got some pics now so it's time for a new thread. I just lost my job today so I need money. So here we go:

Here's a turbo off of a caterpillar something, bull dozer, lawn mower...something - I don't really know. I bought it on impulse off of this forum and now that I've lost my job I can't afford to have somebody weld it to my manifold like I had planned.

This thing is butter, though. It looks like it might have been used for all of 10 seconds, it's not dirty and there's absolutely 0 shaftplay...this fucker is tight.

According to a stamp on the inside of the turbine housing the A/R of the turbine housing is .48. In my opinion it looks a lot bigger than the .48 sized housings I've seen...but that's what it says. There is no stamp on the compressor housing...but it's big, and it's got that cool porting all the ball bearing turbos have on the inlet.

Tell me about it. My brother's done it before so I might end up changing it before I sell it, because it's been nearly impossible to sell it due to the heatercore and the AOD.

So the civic hatch is complete minus engine? And what kind of stuff do you want. I have a bunch of random parts for a CRX... wheels hatch etc

The hatch is complete minus engine and headlights, the rear interior is missing too. I've got some wheels for the back to go on it so that it's a rolling chassis.

As far as CRX parts go I need a rear bumper, rear bumper support, front bumper, rear driver side tail light. I'm also looking for any turbo parts for B series (i.e. t3 or t3/t4 turbos, wastegate, boost gauge, wideband, etc). I'll even consider computer parts as long as they're not old and out of date.

I don't really need a hatch for the CRX but if you've got some nice wheels I'll consider those since I don't want to drive on the ones I've got now this winter. Mine has a nice HF hatch anyway.

Good call on the corn, I'm located in Danville, Illinois. Danville is about 6 hours from Cedar Falls / Waterloo if that gives you any idea of where I'm at. SinisterCRX was interested in it but I'd rather have cash than trades right now so if you can come through with cash before he can a trade....then it's first come first serve. :-*

so does the ecu work perfectly, and do you know what the chip is tuned for? a LS with 450's and a turbo or something? thanks!

I've never used the ECU, and I don't really have anything to test it on other than my N/A B16 CRX. I bought it from a trusted member of this website and it was chipped by none other than xenocron I guess. For $40 shipped you can't really beat it though, you're getting it for next to nothing. I paid $50 shipped for it, look it up in the classifieds.

i vouche for the ecu, yes it works fine, xenocron did the work, it is a basemap for an ls running a t3to4b 50 trim at 10 psi with 450s, launch control at i think 4500 rpms, thats about it i think

hey man, i'm interested in the turbo. Is that a t3 flange? Also... how big is that inlet /outlet for the compressor and turbine sides can you PM me a better pic of the serial number plate... i'd like to find the actual specs on it.

BTW we've spoken before... I'm down here at school in Champaign and I could meet you halfway to Danville or just straight pick it up.

Looks more like a dsm flange than a t3 flange.

It's a bastard flange, I'll link you to the thread with all the info on the turbo. It just barely doesn't line up with a T3 flange so I don't really know. The compressor housing inlet is approxmately 2-2.5" and the outlet is about the same size. You could make an adapter plate or just weld it to a manifold...but I don't really have the time or money to be messing around with it.

Could you guess how closely a T3 bolt pattern would overlay on that turbine inlet.... I mean is it possible to drill open holes for either flange to get one to mate to the other?

Dimensions on the T3 flange are I believe 1 3/4" by 3 3/8"

Also is that exhaust wg flapper plate a regular 5 bolt pattern. I can't really tell from the pics. Pic w/ the exhaust flange off?

I'm thinking about taking the risk of buying myself the redheaded err... yellowheaded stepchild that no one wants.

i may have the pic of it with the t3 flange on my other computer. I bought it from some dude who though it was a t3 but as soon as i got it i noticed there is no way its a t3. pm me if your interested and i can sen you the pic. Its pretty far off from meeting with the t3 adapter plate. Probobly not even possible to modify the adapter plate to make it fit. Thats why i sold it to jim. all i can say is that this turbo is ------- tight with no shaft play.

yea, I don't think i can deal with it either.... I could do it w/ the welding and all but I don't wanna deal with the extra variables.

Have you thought about just making a flange for the turbo? Make a template of it, trace it onto some thick plate steel, use a hole saw in a drill for the inlet and just drill out the 4 holes to bolt to the turbo. Voila'...just weld onto your manifold and you're golden. Not that hard to do, hell...I haven't bought one flange yet. So far i've made t3, t25, and the 14b flanges this way.
