$1200? I'd rally the ---- out of that thing for $1200. Too bad you're so far away, but you shouldn't have a problem selling it for that cheap.

i'm not interested in teh car but these are ??'s that non VW guys need answers to

has the coolant flange been replaced??
is there any small leaks from teh end seals on the steering rack??
any problems with the rear windows??
stock exhaust?? if so is it original??
have the rear shocks been replaced yet??


a trans service will cure the shifting issue ~$180 in parts, maybe an 1 1/2 hr job. only problem is that you need diag tool to check trans fluid level

i'd bet that the evaporator is fine, you prob just need the expansion valve. cheaper part less work



even if everything i mentioned hasnt been done/is a problem its still one hell of deal
if i was in FL i'd pick it up
