Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
well, the rex just isn't a grat family car, and with the baby just a few weeks away, i'm thinking of selling her. here's what she's got:
'89 Honda CRX Si Y-49 yellow (faded) '90 front end (fenders, hood and bumper) Stock D16A6 with K&N CAI (about 60K on the motor) Very little rust on the car (under the lip on the hood, a little under the gas door, and small dots on the passenger rear fender) A/C has been removed, but i still have all the parts if you want them. Driver seat has usual wear, passenger seat looks GREAT! has fold away power CD player, and a 12" sub in the hatch (where the spare used to be) Has <1 year old stock rubber on the stock rims I'd like to get about $1800 out of her, think that's resonable? |

Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
also, if anyone has a good lead on a 4WD civic wagon, let me know. i would love to get turbowagonman's (well, minus the turbo so i could still be in my same racing class), i'd be interested in a trade for one if someone knows of one that's for sale.

Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
im near columbus ohio, and i am lookin for a car...... please email pics to sprocketcrx@yahoo.com oh yea, it says 60k on motor...how many miles on body?
|
Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
I'll sell you the wagon for 3k without the turbo setup. guess I didn't list that option.
|
Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
turbowagon, i'd love to, but WE just bought a house, so i'm sure you can understand our lack of $$ too.
sprocketcrx: the body show 207K, but it doesn't look it. if your really interested, i can have the wife barrow a camera from work, and i can take some pics. MORE IFO ON THE CAR: the sunroof works (well, it opens great, but you've got to "jiggle" the swtich a bit and it'll close right away). all interior panels are there, althought the cargo cover is in two peices, like what happens to almost all of them. |
Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
yea man pics would be great...also do you have like a recipt or something that verifys the mileage on the motor? just curious cause i recently bought a rex that supposedly had a new motor in it and the motor blew up withinn a month.....gotta cover may ass now. thanks
|
Re:Puttin' out "feelers" on my Rex
i'll dig through and check, when i bought it less than a year ago, it had 50K on the new rebuild, but i'm not sure i still have the paper work or not, but i'll look. i'll call the wife today and see if she can bring home a digicam to get some pics. the only thing i know that may need replaced, is the alternator. it still puts out plenty of jiuce, but the bearings are going, and it "moans" a little (can't hear it in the car, but you can if you close by outside). this is my daily driver, and my once-a-month autocross car. i would trust it going anywhere. for that matter, if onyx was stilll interested, i won't think twice about driving it out there myself (from indiana to colorado). please feel free to ask me any more questions.
