Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

New information for everyone!!!

The car is for sale. Sorry we're not parting it out anymore. I guess we are able to sell it instead of having to crush it. If anyone is interested i will post a for sale add on here in a day or two. PM me for more details.

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

car got impounded. gunna cost over 6k to get it back to stock and bar'd/ref'd and the car just isn't worth that much...just tryin to make as much off it as we can to put toward the next car before the shell gets crushed.......

Dude, they're cracking down hard core in town. We had about a dozen people come in in the past week saying they got poped for the intake....it ------ blows...although wit the prelude, sherril was drivin wit out a license, illegal intake, jdm motor, too low, headlights, tail lights all illegal...etc....basically we have to go get it bar'd/ref'd before we can drive it again and it's gunna cost too much to swap everything over so the car is gunna get crushed...we could use some help tearin the bitch appart if you're down? we're gunna be strippin it from the 22nd-25th pulling anything and everything we can off it....

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

I couldn't live in California. I'd Kill a ------- cop if they did something like that to me. and I'm not joking.

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

How do you all live like that we don't even have emissions testing here were I live. I couldn't imagine some cop getting under my hood and impounding my car because I have a turbo. I'd go out of my goddamn mind.

thanks man, i'll definately hit you up. basically all the car that's going to be left is the frame....like your hatch only minus the front end, pedals, e-brake, and anything else we can rip off it...all that's needed is the frame with vins on it...

you get used to it...just gadda know your way around town so you can run and find somewhere to hide...unfourtionately my girl doesn't know her way around town...now if it was me i woulda been gone before he turned on his red and blue's...

there's also this thing called profiling, which is exactly what they're doing. a bunch of the racers in the town are taking a petition or something before the court saying that what they're doing is profiling (which is illegal)...basically if you have a modified muffler they're pulling you over and making you pop your hood...they've already impounded over two dozen cars and probably half of those cars are going to be crushed....i've already got my hood popped 3 times and had two complete vehicle inspections in the past 4 days...nice thing about my car is everything is legal on it...just barely, but it's still legal...

Yeah I guess If you grew up in the state it doesn't seem crazy. But I seriously hope you and cris go on vacation or something and the whole state just slides into the ocean.

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

hahahhahahahaha i think we're a little too far inward for that to happen...although if either one of us hear about a sudden crack in the oregon/nevada/arizona state line we'll both be out in a split second...i know chris is sick of this stupid ------- town aintcha? we should blow up the po-po station!!! O0

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

I was just doing my orders post office 24 hour machine. 1 cop was there when I was doing my orders and shipping my stuff being a good business owner and getting stuff out within 1 day of payment recieved I come out and 2 cops are now around my car Im sure doing plate checks etc. I guess people who are shipping orders out at 10pm on a friday night are scum bags ::) ::). They left after I got out and were sitting in the parking lot at the next driveway, let alone I dont drive a Honda on the street anymore its f'in suv.

I saw literally 10 cop cars just going to the bank and the post office. Chico is suppose to be a college town now there trying to make it into a nazi zone of authority. I dont see it lasting much longer honestly i dont know how many people I have spoken to from young to old that are just frustarted with the direction the city is going including myself.

My old civic was an example of what you have to do not to get fucked with. Stock rims, stock sounding exhaust black no sign of being anything but your run of the mill honda. if I ever build another street Honda it will be an extact style. Stock looking, exhuast will be piped and then merged back down to a stock muffler. Of course you have to stay all motor intercooler is begging to have your ass rapped

Its really sad california has become what it has. California not just with Hondas but the whole aftermarket world is where majority of the industry is based and where the grassroots began. Any advice I can have for Honda owners in California is don't do anything that stands out in anyway

I have a feeling all my builds from now on will be track only cars has I work to hard and have went through to much in my life to attain the knowledge and skills I have to have it ripped away by some 20 something with an ego problem who couldn't achieve power in life except to become a ------ cop

I love california have been here but 2 years of my life and cant see myself going anywhere else but the way the state continues it destruction of its foundation will only take so much before the cracks actually make he state come to a state of mind that you cant keep pushing till you get pushed back.

so true man...it's sad where the state (and chico especially) has gone. i mean having hundreds of cops around on halloween/st. patty's day/cesar chavez birthday is expected...but it's like a daily occurance now....i give it another month-2 months before they lay off again...kinda why i slowed down progress on my sol ya know? del sol ride height of 18" with a t3 turbo, with a b18b1 being run without a cat...should draw a little attention eh? hahahaha anyways man when do you want me to come over and help you out?

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

what's it like for someone with an out of state car? same rules apply? All the cars around here with 'modified suspension' that wouldn't pass pa inspection were all registered in ohio where there was no inspection. I know it's probably not that easy or else people wouldnt be risking so much money not to do that and just not drive it every day.

HMTdmc 04-07-2007 10:25 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

Thats a good question. I wouldn't think they could make you conform to cali regs if you don't live in the state and your cars not registered in california.

Boostd DAteg 04-07-2007 10:51 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

it is reg. in cali. i tried to convince the actual owner of the car (my girls bro) to register it in az or ohio or somethin (i have lots of buddies in other states) but he refused to do it and now he's payin for it...(BTW i'm selling all the parts because it's my girls money that bought the car but since she doesn't have a license she couldn't register the car under her name)...again, long story

HMTdmc 04-07-2007 10:58 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

*L* my girl is in all kinds of trouble for driving with no license. She did all kinds of ---- about 8 years ago and has to pay 8k before she can get them back.

Boostd DAteg 04-07-2007 11:05 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

yeah well the state has her in file under "Sherril Cameron" and we're getting married in june so then her name will change and hopefully we'll be able to get her a license before the paperwork can go through.... :6

HMTdmc 04-07-2007 11:14 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

Her social will be the same.

Boostd DAteg 04-07-2007 11:17 PM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

hahaha part of the long story....she has her dad's social under her name but she has another social...like i said extremely long story....

HMTdmc 04-08-2007 12:07 AM

Re: Parting out 1992 Honda Prelude

well just use the other social when you get your marriage license and it'll work.
