Over bored throttle bodies (Honda OEM)

Hey .
I have been boring throttle bodies for a few years, mainly Honda. All types D , B , H series.
I have a post on Honda-tech that explains what I do and how much. Basically I charge $100 for the machining, make a new butterfly out of brass, then taper and polish the opening. I also reinstall the TPS and set it back to OEM specs. Return shipping is included in the price. I take one to two business days to get the job done.
I can do FedEx if you have to have it back quickly.
Thanks, here is the link:

What do you use to bore that thing out? Is it just boring and making the new butterfly. Or is there more to it. That's pretty cool rather than buying a "super jdm edelbrock trust model" for only $15,000. ;D

I'm sure he uses a lathe with a tapering style tool. I use to have my local machinist to throttle bodies all the time. Good price though most want 150.

I'm interested, i have a GSR tb and i was wondering what the MAX!! you could go is? same with a b16 tb. you said like 4mm over is safe, but can you go anymore?

I thought B16 TBs were 60mm, that should go to 64 then, not 62... I'm gonna have to measure mine tomorrow, If it's only 58, I'd be kinda upset... and then I may have to do this...

Doing the machining part is very easy. Fitting the butterfly and getting a good seal is where I make the money. I have seen throttle bodies bored by other companies and they either stick or have a noticeable gap which can make setting idle difficult. I say 4mm over is the most I can do and sometimes on special request I can go baybe .5 to 1mm over that. But the customer undertands that "he" is taking chances with the throttle body.
About stock diameter, if your B16 is a JDM first gen, then it is 58mm. If it is a US or second gen then it is 60mm.

Hmmm, I may be interested in this also. I've had a ported and polished intake mani for my B18 just sitting in my room because I wanted a bored throttlebody to go along with it. I may get back to you. :)
