new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller
I've got a brand spanking new Borg-Warner t3 flanged t04b made by Bullseye turbos.. Got a great deal on it and one of their techs thought it'd be great on my 2.3L (Toyota) setup.
After ordering it, had a close look at the specs and the turbine is going to cause me some lag. My project is more about drivablity than top end power (4runner) - so I'm starting to rethink this thing. Ideally, I'd like to trade it for a similiar condition (meaning new / warrantied rebuild) t3 .60/.63 - or +/- cash for a smaller turbo. Tons of ebay and direct feedback, if you want additional references. It has to be T3 flanged. I'd prefer water cooled. No .42/.48s. No junk. No "unknown" condition. If you don't know what kind of shape it's in for sure and you're not willing to back it's condition, please be up front. This thing is good for 200-400hp, I'm at the lower end of that, which makes it not optimal for normal driving in the 100-200hp range. This is a polished turbo with an unusual stainless steel housing. It has a single failure "no hassle" warranty policy.. I've had great luck with .60/.63 Garrett T3s, but haven't found one at a reasonable price point new with a no fault warranty. I've had good luck with bullseye turbos before, actually more hearty than the garretts I've abused through various means. The last used on I bought advertised as "zero play" was junk - chewed up compressor hidden by the Ford snout. Turbo specs: Compressor (V-trim) 54.15mm -> 2.13 in 67.5mm -> 2.65 in Turbine (about the same size as a P trim / stage 5) 73.4mm -> 2.89" 64mm -> 2.52" Compared to a t3 (60 trim) Turbine: 1.898 / 2.319 Compressor: 1.83 / 2.365 Pics - I ordered this thing yesterday, so I'm stealing from Bulleye for these photos. Standard Ford 5 bolt housing. no internal gate 3" inlet 2" outlet http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/1...4b-measure.jpg http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/1...d/t04b48-1.jpg http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/1...ed/t0b48-2.jpg http://lakebox.dnsalias.com/photos/1...ed/to4b-v1.jpg |
Re: new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller
its beauitful ;D
Ill trade you a .48 stgIII T3 / Think the compressor is a .50 but could be a .60 ar T4 turbonetics- will need a rebuild soon, but pm me and maybe we can work something out. I think its gonna be a little small on the LS. |
Re: new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller
Bullseye does make some really interesting stuff.. The stainless hot side seems to be unique to the turbos that they make.
I sent you a PM .48 S3 is ok, as is .63 S1. You'd need to know more about it - big difference between a t3 50 trim and t4 60 trim. Obviously a hybrid turbo. |
Re: new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller
its definately a t4 compressor housing, pretty sure its a .50 ar

Re: new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller
t04e 50 trim is even larger than a t04b.. wont work for me.. although the turbine is going to be smaller and lighter..
I've found a vendor with these on sale that has more photos: http://www.tpswestpalm.com/turbosale.html |
Re: new stainless/polished t04b w/warranty trade for smaller

If you have a 50 trim t4, it's even larger than the one I've got and that's what I'm trying to get away from. 60 trim is MUCH larger. I need a smaller turbo.. Happy to talk to you about a trade, but you'll have to know exactly what you're offering and be willing to stand behind the condition. |
