The New Guy

Just joined homemadeturbo.com and would like to introduce myself, My name is Jim, Im 40 years of age, now don't go calling me the old guy! I have extensive experience in composite fabrication and owned my own composite fab shop for many years, mostly building composite body work for AMA superbike racing. I must note I have no desire to build composite body work for sport compact cars but will discuss and tell others how its done and how to do it, its really more simple then one would believe. Anyhow I was told about homemadeturbo.com by a mutual friend, he would be Arron, many of you may know Arron as the owner of Racing Concept here in Lynnwood WA before he closed up shop. I myself live here as well. Introduction complete I hope you all may be patient for I have many question about sport compact customizing, Sport Bikes have always been my passion but I am looking forward to a new experience and learning of compact cars. As of now I own 2 1988 Honda's, One is a 4-door DX auto with AEM intake and DC header with complete exhaust and the other is a 4-speed Hatchback that is bone stock. Both are up for sale, looking to get a 92-95 Civic coupe......looking forward to future chatting with everyone and making new frieds........Jim

See? Old people make mistakes too. Don't have a hear attack when people surely attack you for one thing or another. And ask you to post adult content.

first off, welcome to HMT

second, if you have free time would it be possible for you to make a DIY carbon fibre hood thread telling the steps, i know hwo i would do it, I have beed racing laser sailboats for like 5 years and can do tons of fiberglas work and i figure you would make a female mould of the hood while its off the car with fiberglass, then take teh hood out of teh mould, spray releasing agent into it and lay your carbon in it then when it cures, take out of teh mould and cut off the excess?

look forward to hearing from you
