We just got in two new Garrett TA3405 Turbos, in 57 Trim. They will support up to ~400Hp on 1.6 to 2.0 Liter engines. They are for external wastegated applications, using the standard T3 inlet flange, and 4 bolt exhaust flange. Oil Cooled. 48AR for teh quickness in spool!

We have a lot of money tied up in becoming a Garrett Dealer, and want to move these.

Price each is $579 plus shipping.

If you buy one of our shorty or ram manifolds with a turbo, we'll knock another $25 off the price of the turbo.

Tell your friends, everyone will want one.

We're using one of these on our Vitara project CRX in hopes of breaking the 400Hp mark.

These are not available in our online store yet. it's an HMT Nog hookup only. eMail us to get the deal - sales@tunertoys.com

Confused.. :1 :1
Looking at a compressor map for the 60 trim, it doesn't support 400hp:

This thing have some crazy hot side turbine or something?

Does it have a t04 compressor on it, rather than straight t3? A 57 trim t04 will flow 400..

My bad, I believe it is a T3/T04E 57 Trim. We really didn't ask when we ordered them from Garrett, we just told them we were doing these for 1.6 Liter projects, that we wanted to hit the 400Hp mark, and still spool at a reasonable RPM. These are what they sent. We still have a little time for our project, so we thought we would sell these to you guys, and pick up a couple more when we start our projects.

I can probably get compressor maps for these if you would like to see them.

Probably not before the end of August. We are still in the middle of a move, and I'm going to Bonneville with Hondata Aug 11-17th to support their land speed attempt.

Good deals!!

Also, a 57 trim can easily hit the 400whp mark...lately on HT there was a guy who made 501whp on a 9:1 GSR @ 22psi w/ the .63 ar

Yep, since we are using one of these on our Vitara project, we wanted to get the quickest spooling turbo, that could still support 400Hp. These are what Garrett recommended.

Thanks!

Depends on your HP goals. This was the lowest AR we could get and still meet the 400HP target on a 1.6L. Can't imagine it would be much worse on a 1.5L. If your HP goals are lower for these engines, you can certainly choose a faster spooling turbo.

HT is a great place to be lied to.

Using a 60 trim T04E compressor (same base diameter as 57 trim but slightly bigger inducer = more flow capability) with a stage 5 .63 AR turbine made 400 at ~22 psi and peaked out at ~470 whp @ 30-31 psi. That's about 550 at the crank, not too shabby. There's no way in hell anybody's getting 30 whp more at 1/3rd less boost off a (marginally) more restrictive compressor, though.

The units Craig has are great 100% reliable 400 whp units, past there you work the turbo to make more but they'd push 450-460 whp for those certain speshul occasions. I can't tell you how much I like OEM quality turbos, they make life easy. :)
