The block was only that expensive because you weren't smart enough to build it yourself. As stated before the block is worth about $1200, but then you hired some "race shop" to build it for you. That must be where the rest of the 15 million came into play. YOU PAYING THEM TO DO SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF DOING YOURSELF.
In the end, the car people stayed, while the real "Posers" who "don't really care about cars anymore" got lost. So do it, get lost.

another note worth mentioning is the fact that just because you invested X dollars into something doesn't mean somebody else is, your nuts for thinking that. for 5,000 you could have a civic/crx, b series engine with new t-belt, etc... a set of wheels, and a hmt turbo set up which would probably dominate your sohc... not knocking the sohc but honestly at some point you got to wonder why spend so much money on it, sure its fun, but would rather have a big breasted midget or a nice body on a 5'9 girl?... hmm... maybe thats actually a bad relation... aw well, you get the point

Here's your solution, a fully rebuilt Honda D16A6 (old civic engine that is compliant with 94-00 civic series D engines), and was chosen because it has superior oil flow through it.
This engine block will handle anything you throw at it - even a small shot of nitrous in conjunction with 10-15 psi could be taken by this beast; or you could just shell out the cash and go for one of the monster sized turbos and put down over 25 PSI daily. You'll spend more money keeping the thing fueled then you will having to upgrade or repair this engine!
It was produced by DH-Racing, with the highest standards in mind. They know how to build proper race car engines, and this is the most prime example; EXCEPT FOR - ITS NEVER BEEN RUN YET!
This is your chance to show up on the streets and on the track with a Honda engine made from inginuity, instead of cheap shots like nitrous oxide, and over sized superchargers. Give those American musclecars something to say "oh ----" to.
This block will fit in all cars that had original D series mounts (though some adjustment may have to be made for the Integras with a ZC series motor).
It will bolt up to a D16Z6, D16Y8, and D16A6 head with no problem (don't forget, a GASKET is included).
But if you want to run with the big boys, you will need this block, a race ready head, intake manifold, turbo manifold, and a large T68 turbo, and you will easily be pulling 9s at sea level.
Here is the most detailed list of parts I can state at the moment (more work went into this then I can imagine)
