Re:Hella Killswitches

it's for at the track yo, as part of the new rules, any car with a relocated battery has to have one of these(atleast at my local track) for amature ----. but if your hardcore you gotta have one no matter.

Re:Hella Killswitches

they are mainly used as a theft deterrent if the swithch is out the battery is not on. the good thing is that the key comes out and then the only way to start the car is to either put the key in, or cut the wires and splice them together (most people aren't down for that) also, on the track they need to be visible from outside the car (for a roadrace track) or have an arrow pointing to it's location. on a drag race track it just needs to be there.

Re:Hella Killswitches

i was told today at race wars that if i wanted to run my car again i needed one of these. he also said that i needed to wire it up to the alternator too cause it has to be able to turn the car off while its running? how would you do that? how much with shipping to 22963?

bambooseven 04-25-2004 03:58 AM

Re:Hella Killswitches

you just run your alternator wires through it also. no big deal. same shipping w/ wires anywhere in the US

2 left for now, if anyone needs one when I am out I can get mmore (I think)

Re:Hella Killswitches

I wanted one, but then I remembered I put my radio back in my car and if I use this all the time because I'm a gangsta I'll have to reset all my radio stations, ----, I'll just put a sword in the car so I can chop the battery cable in case of emergency.

-edit-

I vouch for this fool, he helped out my ricer career by sending me an LS block and a fart can that doesn't sound like ----, the block will see massive boost and when the engine is boosted the fart can will go on my dad's dumptruck.

Re:Hella Killswitches

you just run a constant power supply from the battery to the fuse box and only have the switch between the starter and alternator wires. then you have radio presets AND a killswitch

are talking about the fusebox inside or outside the car? the one outside is connected directly to the battery and alternator.

bambooseven 04-26-2004 12:16 AM

Re:Hella Killswitches

if the wire to your fusebox (in the engine bay) is before the switch the radio presets will stay on

varexsi 04-26-2004 12:24 AM

Re:Hella Killswitches

so the battery wire and alternator wire can be hooked up on the same side? that wouldn't ---- anything up? or are there 2 circuit paths on that one switch. what's the paypal im trying to cop one!
