Group Buy on HID's?

OK, so I recently attended the big consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, and I met with a distributor of HID kits while I was there. It's still a small company (Poweramper), so they were willing to talk to a dumbass like me. Anyway, I have been working with by email trying to get something set up to do a groupbuy on these kits. They include 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, and wiring harnesses. They are available in 4300K, 6000K, and 8000K.
It look like everything will work out, but I need to find out if there is any interest in these or not. I know not everybody has a ton of money (including myself), but would anybody be interested in these if we could get them under $300?
Let me know if you have any questions, and here is a pic. Oh and as always, we'll work out a donation to HMT.

Re:Group Buy on HID's?

just watch out for the brand you get.

Philips HID is the only way to go (Got a philips HID kit myself)

But you might want to try mcculloch HID. They are pretty decent.

Stay away from HID's that have the Blue tint on the bulbs, you dont want those.. I see it that the kit in the picture has a blue tint on it. You want to look for clear bulbs..

Some place are selling mcculloch for about $310 shipped.

just giving you guys a heads up so you wont have to spend so much on replacing the bulbs everytime.

Their website is www.poweramper.com, but I don't think they have anymore info on the HID's on their website. I'm not really lookin' to make a profit off of this whole thing, but I'm looking at $80 shipping if I order only one set. But the more we order, the more we'll save on shipping. I'm thinking we can get them down about $280. If you have any specific questions that I don't know, I will email the manufacturer.

Yeah, no doubt phillips are the best. They come at a price though. If you can get em' at a better price, by all means that's the way to go. Post up a link of where they are cheaper. Like I said, I'm not trying to make a profit on these, I just thought if anyone was interested I could set up a group buy. If I can get a rough count on all interested then I can get a better idea of actual cost. Maybe we can get 'em even cheaper than that.
Oh, BTW, the best I can tell, they don't have a blue tint to them, it's just the pic that I posted is not the best.

i wasnt really knocking the price you can get, since the prices people have quoted me are usually from disreputable suppliers(read: theives)

Hmmm, I was thinking that under $300 was a pretty good deal. I guess I have not looked around enough. I'm going to stay in contact with this company though and see if we could get them any cheaper. If this is going to be a group buy, they would need to be cheap.
