Ebay D16 H-beam rods

1 Attachment(s)
Ok, I bought a set of "Cat" rods off of ebay for $240 shipped and everything looked good. The big end fits the crank and so does the piston pin end (fitted to Vitara pistons).
I began to install the rods and noticed that the rods were too wide and didnt fit down the bores, so, I filed one and got it to slide down the bore to begin checking the clearance btwn the rod and the block to begin to "notch" it.
Using a carbide cutter I started notching the block and girdle. After repeatedly cutting and checking the clearance I got tired b/c I still have three more cylinders to do.
I was going to order a set of Eagle rods to avoid doing any more labor that I dont have to.
So, if anyone dosent mind spending time fitting these rods for thier Vitara setup LMK what you are willing to pay.

TT was out of stock for some time a while back, and I got impatient. I was also under the impression that TT uses the same manufacturer anyhow.
Im now down with the ching chong MEOW bandwagon. :8

Im gonna go and work on notching my block now.

Are you ------- serious? YOu are selling these cause its gonna take you a whole 30 minutes to notch the block? YOu might aswell just stop working on cars all together. I have already done 2 vitara builds with CHINGMEAOW Rods and its never been that bad that i had to give up. WOW! :1

My time is very limited that I have to work on my car, but I would admit I get frustrated quickly, and Im a perfectionist. :S

http://stores.ebay.com/CRANKSHAFT-DEPOT

I didnt see it on his site, but maybe he has them and they arent listed.

And if any of you care, I just finished machining the block. Im sure if I was using a larger cutter it would have been a lot faster, but anyhow Im gonna keep the rods b/c they are installed thanks to the encouragement HMT style. >:D
