There's plenty of scammers out there. It's your responsibility to look into any sellers background. Everyone knows it could happen, so it's up to you.

stealth, I think that it is up to the person, but alot of first time buyers (me) get fucked because they don't know what to look for. threads like this do help, so do mail-bombs.

I think this may be the same guy pushin some nitrous kit ----, for sale or trade. This is why its necessary to setup trial user & certain responsibility parameters. Vouches really help. Good buyers & good sellers should represent with proof. Listing others from the community that have done business together helps suppport the community & weed out the scammers.
Nothing is 100% but vouches & scammer alerts help.
IMHO opinion, I'd would prefer to do business with someone who has 1xxx posts or has been a member since xx-xx-01 or later. Ebay or other board history is good reference too.
