I have for sale a pair of civic D series hydro transmissions, I have 1 from a 1992 Civic CX that needs a new main bearing, $20 and its yours, I also have a 1995 EX Transmission that needs a new shiftfork $50, $60 and you can take both and use parts from the CX to fix the EX transmission. Located in Ottawa IL 61350

How do you know all it needs is a shift fork? Location noob?

 

I apologize, I just posted another forsale link with my location and forgot to put it in this one also.

The previous owners kept pop-starting the car it was in 3 months after having it rebuilt because the starter went out, one day the car wouldn't go into gear, and the input shaft has some play *Which to my understanding could imply that the fork is busted and its a common part to break*

if I'm way off on that assumption I apologize, but I will crack open the transmission to take a closer look if anyone is interested in it.

 

if it has input shaft play that means the input shaft bearings are fucked. not a tough fix either way

 

Thanks for the input, I got it a while ago and basically knew it was broken but didn't need a full rebuild, but I got a B18b1 for a mint so I'm going a different direction.

 

If I were in the midwest I'd offer $50 if I come pick em up, but I'm in VA sorry homie.

 

No prob, I'm sure someone can use these things, I know how drastically an EX transmission can help give your car a bit of guts if you have a CX or DX civic.
