Default New guy with turbo j-body

Been lurking this site for a while, thought I registered before but I guess not haha. Love the site, cheap bastards like me fit right in opposed to other forums where your a half-*** ricer if ---- isnt professionaly done and show-worthy. Anyways, heres some pics of my turbo 01 auto cavalier z24(Im sure some people were wondering wtf a j-bdoy was haha). If this needs to be moved to that member build thread go ahead, Im computer retarded and didnt feel like trying to figure out posting the link in it.

Before turbo the car had a gmsc kit with tiny m45, 2.6 pulley, alchy and 75 shot which still sucked. Spraying a wet shot pre-sc fucked the bearings in the sc so I figured it was time to turbo.

Quick pile of parts before install, youll hate me but the charge piping and dp were pre fabbed off a different setup..I did have to modify them a bit though if that counts

Car started with a turbonetics t3 super 60 which I bought with bad seals; tried to rebuild and snapped the head/bolt of the shaft off cause ------- turbonetics are bacwards threaded. Threw a spare standard shaft in and was good, only lasted about 3 days though due to having too strong a spring in my tial bov and using 2 oil restrictors . Then went to a big *** to4 which was too big, even using a 7psi spring it boosted around 10psi from flowing soo much cfm. pic:

Finally just took that out today and put in a junkyard t3 super 60 from a GN I got for 50 bucks off ebay Sitting good at 7psi again, I need to adjust my tune though as Im having a little problem down low but wot afr's look good around 11.6

Im also running an open wg with no dump haha. I just bought a 110 fluxcore from harbor freight(the ----!) so I think Ima go to autozone tomorow and grab a straight 1.5" pipe and do some pie cut bends hah.

Give me a big warm hmt welcome!

All the shafts I found were $100+ even for standard ones, and Ive never even seen a garrett that was reverse threaded and Ive rebuilt a few for friends. Plus I was in a hurry to get the ---- going, oh well, it prolly woulda got fucked anyway like what I said happened to that turbo.

Im still using the ceramic turbine housing from that turbo though so it was worth it! hah.
