So I bought some furniture for my new place today and was taking it back, I have about a 150 mile drive between apartments and figure I can just make it. I was under the impression that my car had a low fuel warning light, but I've never ran it much less than a quarter tank. I am about 95% of the way there and my gas needle is on empty, I figure no big deal, the gas light will come on when it's really low and I should have at least a gallon left. Well it didn't come on; I either don't have one or it's the one bulb in my gauge cluster that's broken. My car starts hesitating a bit, then it happens more and more often and I find myself going about 50 mph on the interstate praying for an exit soon. I took the next exit which was about 1.5 miles away and it seemed to take forever, hoping that my car didn't die. I have AAA so it wouldn't be a huge deal but it probably woulda taken an hour or more for someone to bring me gas. I pulled into the first gas station, ---- it's not open. Luckily I get to the next one which is a quarter mile away and my car dies upon turning in. After a bit of trying it started back up, just enough gas left to get to the pump.

The car is a 92 Civic DX, supposedly a 12 gallon tank. I pumped 11.5 gallons. What the ---- is the point of the last half gallon if I can't use it? Is my car even supposed to have a low gas indicator? The cluster is from an EX. I made it home safe to drink by myself and play some xbox, woo

But what's the fun in that?! I wanted to see if I could get home and back on a tank, and I can. I just did about 30 miles of city driving in the middle and it screwed it up. And now I know not to wait for the low fuel light that doesn't exist. It reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer is taking a car for a test drive...

 

I have a Walbro 255 LPH low pressure installed in the factory location...
