I have a chance to get a turbo off a 2006 Cummins manaul transmission. I thought the manuals were all HX35s. I looked at it and it appeared to be a Hy35. Will have to get a look in the daylight maybe.

if the motor is a 5.9 is a HE351, if its is the 6.7 its has VGT, which you need to SEARCH about...

Yes it is the 5.9 I only got a quick glance at it on top of that it was dark outside. Completely spaced off the HE351. Guess go look up some specs before make up my mind on it. Will be going on my maxima. I belive I should get decent power with nice spool. Like to be in the upper 300 to l400hp range.

 

I have an HE351CW

wheel measurements for it are as follows

Compressor

59 mm to 85 mm

Turbine

58 mm to 65 mm

ive been wanting to do one about my car, but there is like a hundred feet of snow on my car, so pics of that would be worthess.. when the snow melts it will happen.


he351, is similar to the HY35 with the 9cm single scroll turbine housing, and the compressor is i beleive a slight bit "better" than the HX/HY35, but not quite as big as the HX40.

that could be right, i have heard that it was slightly smaller, but honestly i dont know, ive never measured both next to each other.

 

HE351 is an HX35 with HX40 compressor wheel and cover.
