When driving i get a clunk when shifting, also a get a clunk when i accel from closed throttle or de-accel from partial throttle. Also have a constant thump and vibration from driver side... Bad axle?

sounds like motor mounts mabey even control arm bushings

 

Doubtful anyone on the internet can diag this for you without seeing it. Dig in and figure it out.

 

your right hitch, was just trying to get some opinions the night before i did dig in... It turned out to be a broken inner axle joint. I jacked up the car and had my friend run it in first and immediately saw the axle flopping. Got me to work for a day though so im happy, fixed with a new one from autozone...
