ok guys im sorry for the shitty *** newb questions recently, but im trying to get into this whole tuning thing and the only people i have to help me is you guys so i have no choice but to ask. i have three questions. for some reason i cannot find any information on this one
1. where can i get the software for this burner. i have flash and burn but that does not work for me
2. what do i plug into these thing highlighted
3. can i use these chips to chip my pm6

The two plugs are USB and USB. One powers the board(round plug) and one sends information back and forth between the burner and computer(rectangular plug).

Most people use SST27 chips are this point. Personally, I hated using them with my Willem. Never worked right. I'd get a successful burn/erase every 5 chips. I also had an old board design where I think the jumpers were screwy. I know Amtel discontinued the 29c a long time ago. There was one site you could still get them from about a year ago. I can't remember it though. A quick search shows ebay sellers still have these chips. They are a bit pricey, but from my experience, I liked the Atmel chips a hell of a lot better than the SST chips with the Willem. The Burn1 never gave a ---- one way or the other. Willem, was a bit more picky. I do know that others have great success using SST chips with Willems. I just know Atmels always work perfectly without having to mess with jumpers.

Are you sure the usb port is for the data transfer? The willem I had used the usb port for power only and the parallel (printer) port for data transfer. The round DC port was only optional if you had the power supply to go with it, I think for lower voltage flash writing.

The two you have circled are just different ways to power the board. Parallel port for data transfer.

 

I burnt sst chips perfect with my williams. I only switched to a burn 1 because I got it for 25 shipped.
