Default if you bought a car part and it arrived broken, and two months late...

i had filed a dispute in paypal a month after he didn't contact me, and said it was sent to me 2x. after the dispute was filed, he stated he hadn't gotten around to shipping, and will do so. i never got the 'first' one, so he sends me a second one. almost 3 weeks go by, paypal rules the dispute in my favor, refunds the money. seller sends me an email stating he wants the $ when i get the cable. i get the cable, and the day he shipped it is the day AFTER the dispute was ruled in my favor. go figure, right?

what would you do?

ordered a replacement reflashing cable for my wrx, openecu.org no longer stocks the 1.3x cables, so i had to source another cable from another site..
and this is what i got in the mail today.

I would keep it, keep the money, and fix the cable.

BTW, I sent out two phones to someone once. I shipped promptly, and used the shipping he asked for which was parcel post. Well, he lives in hawaii, and little did I know, parcel post ------- sucks. He filed a dispute, got his money back (over $300), and a few days after winning the phones it showed they were delivered

It clearly says "scam" on the envelope.

That cable would never work, even if you could wield a soldering iron with the best of them.

See, this wouldn't happen to me because I pay attention and read enough of these stupid threads to know that, no tracking number in a few days = automatic charge back with the CC.

Just Burn the WRX to the ground and get a real car.

yeah, i'm not sure why he wrote 'scam' on it either. explain to me as to why re-soldering it wouldn't work? i've soldered tighter board placements than this before..
