Pics, and Avatars

Hey, could you guys give us noobs a lesson on posting pics, or setting up custom avatars, Ive got one thats a .gif, but it doesnt seem to want to work.

its to big u need to resize it in adobe imageready.

Got this from another post here., and ya, it works when I copy directly from the forum, but not from the host site, must be because you guys modified before using it.
