cracked turbo housing

i just bought a turbo and it has a crack at the wastegate flapper. flapper is fine. the part it set on is cracked. neither is all the way through but i wanted to kno if this will cause my boost to creep at all.

Weld it and die grind it down flush.

Use tig if you can.
