Default D15B vs D16 400hp build, is the D15 a huge disadvantage?

I'm aware of the differences between the motors, I'm aware of all the D16 Vitara setups approaching and passing 400whp. I've seen a couple of D15 builds, but none with 400hp in mind (that i've seen completed, at least)

Is there a huge disadvantage in the D15 with their stroke? Will I hit a wall sooner than the D16?

I would see the d15b's shorter stroke being an advantage to you actually. I think part of the reason you don't see as many high hp builds out of them is 1. the availability and 2. the rods.

There's only one set of rods for that engine and fjt sells them. The shorter stroke provides a better RS ratio and I think would certainly help you make more power where a large turbo is going to put it, in the high rpms.
