You wont make 200whp at 5psi on that turbo with that engine. Sorry. Aint gonna happen.

If you only want 200whp, then buy a stock dsm and put a boost controller on it.

/thread.

What the ---- is a 4g37? 1.8 sohc? Dont even bother. That engine doesn't deserve to be boosted....unless it's a car that you dont care about. In which case id go straight to 20 psi with the full intention of sending a rod through the oil pan/block.

Probably.

Still, 20 psi would cause some photo worthy damage. I'd do it just for fun. The motor isn't worth a ---- anyway.....

Hey man, there was a post in the welding/fab forum by a guy who was boosting one of those engines. It looked **** too, to be honest. I think the name of the thread was my first turbo manifold or some ---- like that. I would look it up for you, but I've been at work allll day and on top of that I'm a lazy bastard...

Actually, they can be built and share many modular parts with the 63/64 etc. sirius motors. Head flow sucks a big one though. Usually not worth it unless for some ungodly reason there is an intense shortage of turbo dsm's in a 100 mile radius. Or your just going for the sleeper factor to clean up at the street races, in which case its still pointless unless you are popping the hood and slapping down the cash before hand.
