would it be my clutch or tranny going out?????? W/PORN
hey i got a quick noob question!!
ok i got a 95 civic ex turbo.... ok but once im in second and rip on it it just revvs all the way up but doesnt go no where!

i havnt switched out the clutch since i bought it which has been like 2 years already and its my daily driver so what im asking is ...
would it be just my clutch slippen and just have to repair the clutch or is it my tranny goin out
i did the old fashioned 3rd gear test where you put the ebrake on and put it in 3rd and let go off the clutch but it just stalls
?
but when ever i ripp on it itll just revv for a while and take time to pick up accelarate but just taking off normal the acceleration responds well
IT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THIS .... REVVS ALL THE WAY BUT GOES NO WHERE FOR A WHILE

+1
you have to pull it to fix the tranny or clutch, pull it and look at the clutch, if it looks fine then you know where your problem is. i am 99% sure its your clutch

clutch is gone man, trust me on that one. i drove a car that had virtually no clutch in it at all. as a matter of fact it was a 94 civic sedan, d16z6 stock, and i drop the clutch in gear and the motor wouldnt die. i told him to replace the flywheel when he replaced the clutch and he didnt. well now he has another 180 dollar paper weight.....

cause i put the ebrake, was at a complete stop and put it on third and let go of the clutch and it didnt idle it died.
so im guessing its barely starting to go out but its slippen really bad on 3rd gear

would it be?? cause my friend has da same set up and his doesnt do that... and + my clutch grinds reallly bad when i shift it into 3rd or reverse.plus its tuned and everything
ok well let me explain some thing to you. clutches are designed for a certain amout of power. it is not uncommom to have to get an upgraded clutch when you add more power. and you tune does not mean anything to your clutch. didi it slip before the turbo? does it slip all the time? or just when you are trying to go fast
