idle car w/o dp

Default idle car w/o dp

I wont have the flange for the downpipe until next week... and I want to get my car started this weekend... is it ok to idle it w/o a downpipe... or one that doesnt seal up..

are you going to be driving around with this for a week? or just turning it on to see if it starts/ idles okay

just turning it on... maybe drive around the block... my turbo has a 2.5" flange and I haave a dp w/ 3" flange... so it kinda just dangles there..

Whatever you do, idle it and get out! as soon as you go for a spin "around the block" will turn into 50$ worth of gas and melted goodies under the hood

just start it, check for oil leaks and ----, give some gas a couple of times and shut it off. You do anything else and u'll be melting ----

or you could drive with no hood and let the hot *** gas escape =P

turning it on to idle is fine. driving a bit (2 blocks or less) should be fine. driving to work and back with no downpipe = loud as hell + engine bay hotter than satan's house.
