i got a 88 in a 55 zone and a no valid dl a few months ago..i had to go to court and it ended up being a $600 fine..

well since i didnt have the money to pay, the judge made me come in to a court date every month till it was payed off..

i completely forgot about that today..i had the money to finish paying it off today..im working nights though so my days are all fucked up..

am i fucked and have to turn my self into county now or would i be able to call and re schedule tomorrow..i just want other people'e opinions before i go get wasted and get some head before i turn myself in

 

go try and pay it off tomorrow and reschedule like as soon as they open, and maybe try and leave a message? around here their really forgiving about ---- like that so when you show effort they usually let it slide

 

ya just go pay it, and then try and get them to let you go to court that day. the worse that will happen is there will be a warrent for your arrest, but you should be able to pay to get that droped if you pay the fine too. then they will just reschedule your court date.
that happened to me earlier this year, and they were going to book me into jail till they could reschedule me, witch was retareded sense i paid everything and turned everything in i just missed it by a day by accident, same thing i worked nights so the days always got screwed up. they were nice i talked to the prosecuters attorny into letting me go home and eat and come back for court. because i had left straight from work to court. everything turned out fine and that was my last day of court. cha ching. i plan on staying out of court for a while. so basically your will be fine either way, worse case senario you go to jail over night.

 

Around here they charge you with FTA "FAILURE TO APPEAR", issue a warrant, and revoke your license. But good luck you may get out of it if you explain the situation and pay the rest of the fine in full.

 

Def pay the fine off first, then go speak with them.

Same here, but they wait a day or two to see if it was intentional or a mistake.

i called a little while after i got off work because they were not open yet...they said they already issued a failed to appear warrant.when i originally got pulled over..the officer gave me a driving while license suspended charge..then in my arraignment the prosecutor cut me a deal and made it a no valid drivers license ticket because i guess thats not a jailable offense..or whatever..

..i have to go thru booking..but i can pay my bail which is the same as my fine originally was..probably spend a night in jail,get bailed out..then go to court and get time served or pay a extra fine..ill turn myself in friday morning when i get off work so i dont miss any days since im off friday..hopefully i can be out by bight time and go party

 

haha they have you turn yourself in on a friday cause the judges go home and they're needed to release you.
