I'm probably wasting my time and energy but heres what you need:

-motor/trans
-mounts
-axles
-shift linkage ecu
.....and most importantly the SEARCH button

Some optional equipment that make the job go easier:
-engine crain
-a friend
-tools
-orange chicken
-beer

actually have a 89 as well late model I am sure. but ya for the swap you can run either the cable axles or hydro ones. depends on you intermediate shaft. since it's a 90 or so you should probably run the cable axles. use the stock wiring harness. get a 94-95 teg dizzy or cut and soder a 96-01 dizzy in. you can use the 90-01 shift linkage they will all work just fine. you will how ever if running a cable tranny need a hydo to cable conversion kit. hasport etd and hand full of others make them for not to much. little things to make life easier, extend your coolant temp sensor wire. currently it's located on the termostate housing. you will need to enlongate it reach the back of the block on the b18a it's about 18" longer. 94-01 integra rear t bracket will be needed. a 94-01 ac bracket will also help a ton. you will probably be able to use the stock d timing belt motor mount. or change it to a newer integra 3 bolt and buy a 3 bolt block mount. also you will need to run resisotors if you reuse the obd0 injectors. thats about all I can think of now. hope that helps I just did the same swap in my cx you will love it. but not a ton till you boost it!

I gotta side with the OP.

I just sold an integra that had a head that was stamped 1989.

Granted that was a JDM motor.

I swear to god I just sold a 1990 integra last month that had a swap, and the head was clearly stamped 8/9.

okl well you are talking about a 1990 integra. we are talking about a 89' integra. and the 1990 you are referring to does not matter becuase it had a swap not the original motor. he is asking if it is possible to swap the 1989 b18 into his car. well its not becuase the 89 integra did not have a b18 it had a d16a1
