an electronic waste gate that is just gay and one more thing to break. sounds to me that this thing will be mounted with an external wastegate

 

VTG (variable turbine geometry) probably wont see its full lifespan on a gas motor, EGT's are the problem. Newer BW stuff can see up to 1100 degrees C, not sure bout the holsets.

You could have the solenoid for the VNT activate with a load/rpm setting on Crome. I say just throw it at the closest nun you see. Don't worry she'll forgive you. She has to!
