There used to be a writeup on some Supra site that showed how to take a stainless pan and make a housing heat shield. It was pimp as all ----, and would be 101% HMT, but one of you snigglets will have to find it.

While that write-up is pimptastic, I am going to wonder how well that pan shield actually works to do what the job of the blanket that Rudeboy posted. It's just going to radiate heat that is transferred to it from the exhaust housing in my opinion.

It wasn't pimptastic, it was pimp as all ----. Not comparing it to the blanket, but to let it stand on it's own as a pimp *** idea with some functionality to it.

If diet pepsi and bacardi have me sounding like JD, I apologize.

since I will be running a topmount manifold with a fat turbo in a couple days, I really need something to protect my hood, the blanket is all I am looking at right, I have the DEI universal one but all it is, its just piece of exhaust wrap and heat shield, I will have to cut, shape and figure a way to mount it, not easy. ebay or t1 is my only option right now.
