BOOSTAHOLICS lookey here
----'s got me puzzled
Temps been a lil cooler here lately in Indiana. So I decided yestrday to take the Hatch out and Get on Hwy11 and head from Seymour to Columbus. Let the car warm up, put it in gear and drove off. Just collecting myself and enjoying the car at midnight, no traffic, no lights, just a lil heat lightening in the distance and head lights shining out in from of me. Felt really good out. Windows down, shorts, tee shirt, and my Cardinal's hat on. Felt like a Million dollar man.
Ok to the actual point of the story.Got onto the I65 from Columbus and headed back to the house. 1st-4th boost is constant 15psi. Put into fifth and let off it. So I got almost 4 miles from the exit and decided to just floor it in 5th and see what she does. Gets to 15psi look at AFR's fine look at road and then Boost gauge and 20psi then boom straight to 25psi. Let off it.
Thats the puzzle so why only 5th does not hold boost the same a 1-4.

If his WG is set to X psi, he shouldnt be overshooting by 10 psi. I would say WG too small or doesnt have good enough flow.
It was one of those, they have three setscrews that hold the case to the base/piston area. I'm running the green spring. To be honest thats the first time I've ever tried to WOT in 5th. And all me gears are short and sweet. M2B4 gears

I talked to them today. They asked if i was using the smaller seat for the piston. I am. And then they asked for me to put the larger seat in and get back with them. Well its a lil warmer right now. And i did another interstate fifth gear pull. And 15 pounds constant till about 7000 and it grows to about 17 on the data log. They said its got to be that the dump is too close to the turbo. Again mine is about a foot down stream from the turbo exhaust outlet. Maybe i need to redo all my exhaust over the winter.
hmmm... i looked at their stuff at PRI and even talked with them for a while. it looked like they made good ----. i could be wrong though. i cant imagine your dump being the problem though unless it dumps in at a 90° angle or something like that
