1990 crx si w/ dohc zc... ok i've had this problem a bunch even with my stock engine and everything. this has happened almost a dozen times and idk what it could be. for some reaon it only happens at gas stations lol i pull into the gas station, go in, come back out and start the car up and it stalls out. and then i have to wait a minute or two before it will start back up and it runs fine again. what could this be? the only thing thats the same with the zc is the wiring harness, map sensor ect. has anyone ever had this happen? any info is helpful because i'm in the dark with this... thanks

fuel pump shittin the bed?

 

this prolly won't be much help to you but i had a similar problem with my b16. changing to much better battery cables, and grounding the battery on the engine block solved it all for me.

again prolly isn't your case but throwin it out there =)

 

it could be flooding, i have a walbro. but it did it with the stock fuel pump and stock engine before...

I had this same problem with my old hatch. It would usually happen at gas stations too haha, id turn it off to fill up and it wouldnt start for 10 minutes.

If i can remember correctly it was the fuel pump relay, its kinda up by all the fuses wayyyyyyy up there stuffed like a bitch. Its a bitch to get to but i replaced it and the problem went away.

I cant remember if it was the relay or called somthing else, Im gunna ASSume you have a Ef, go to gay Ht and either search or post about it. pretty sure its the relay tho

 

Main relay going bad? Mine started doing that on my Del Sol. PITA to get to.

when you turn the key to the number 2 position do you hear the fuel pump priming? if not, there you go.

just hit the relay when you turn to the number 2 position and listen for it to prime. buy a new relay later.
