Default Should I fear for my job?

As many of you may or may not know... I work for Wachovia Bank N.A.

N.A.= National Association.. Not Naturally Aspirated.

As of 6/2/08, our board of directors announced the forced resignation of our former CEO, Ken Thompson. Alot of this had to do with losses... Well, all of it had to do with losses. The guy had worked here for 32 years, BUT.. in 1Q 2008, Wachovia lost $350M. (Yes, that's $350 Million) Jun 1, 2007 Wachovia stock= $54 per share. Jun2, 2008 Wachovia stock= $22 per share.

Now, they're already announced that Ben Jenkins will be taking his place as interim CEO. This happens to be the same Ben Jenkins that directly called me a ****-on in a site-wide meeting.

Do I have something to be worried about?

Unless you give him a reason he can't fire you just because.

You better not give them any reason though, unless they decide to "cut costs" and get rid of you.

Look up the laws of the land, in NH we have equal oppurtunity employment, but you can be fired for no reason, its all up to the employer.

FYI: SC is an At Will state, not a Right To Work state. He can fire me because he has a booger in his nose...

Don't think that's gonna happen.. If that's the case, I'll gladly give you my job!

I have no urge to look up laws for NH, I'll never venture that far north.

Like someone else said, you better start kissing some *** or look for somewhere else. Just depends on how big of an ------- he is.

If he is the CEO he probably doesn't even remember who you are.
