how exactly does the dyno calculate hp when the torque is all over the place, its my understanding that a dyno measures torque and then calculates the hp.

 

Horse power is a funtion of torque and RPM so yes you need to know the torque to get hp.

 

Yup, it's just math, torque will always cross hp at 5250rpm because of it.
