I have a 4wd wagon. It is very difficult to run a decent diameter exhaust through the rear. I'd like to only run an exhaust through 3/4 of the car to the rear differential.

Id like to run ( from a t3 45 trim turbo-2.25in DP) a high flow cat to a 20" or so cherry bomb glass-pack muffler/ resonator. Im assumeing that the turbo will reduce alot of the obnoxious sound in the exhaust.

If anyone has any expereince with glasspacks on a turbo 4 banger, I'd like to know your experience. I just dont want it to sound like richard simmons getting raped by a moose.

 

I'm pretty sure that srt4's use either glasspacks or resonators. Theyre quite loud though.

 

my buddys 1.8t piece runs 3 inch dp to fake 2.5 inch cat to 2.25 exhaust w/ res but no muffler-sounds decent

as long as your not running straight open dp it wont sound like ***

 

open dp is a beautiful sound

 

otherwise it sounds like an old tractor, but it is so worth it.

 

open DP, exhaust is a waste of power-building money.

 

glasspacks sound good. do it. But ---- that cat.

 

I am looking at getting one or two of the autozone cherry bomb 2.5 glass packs. They're like 30 or 40 bucks I think. I dont know how well made these are and how long they will last.

 

Longer than the life of the typical boosted Honda. Most idiots wrap them around trees in 1.2 weeks.
